Charlotte Weeda, M.D.
Pediatrician
CMO

Dr. Weeda is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine, and completed her residency at Oregon Health & Science University.  She has spent the last seven years at Coeur d’Alene Pediatrics and Providence Medical Group. Dr. Weeda believes that excellent medical care requires communication between pediatrician, patient, and parents/guardians, which includes active listening and sharing by all participants.  “Caring for the pediatric patient is a team effort, with the team being the patient, their parents/guardians, pediatrician, and the pediatric clinic care team.  Parents/guardians know their children better than anyone else; as a pediatrician, I feel blessed to be entrusted with the care of children as a “guest” in their lives.”
Dr. Weeda loves being a pediatrician, and enjoys learning about her patients’ lives outside the clinic to better understand their needs.  When she is not in the clinic herself, she spends as much time outside as possible with her husband and three children boating, kayaking, paddle-boarding, hiking, mountain-biking, fishing, hunting, snow-shoeing and sledding.

Shannon Seckel, M.D.
Pediatircian

A graduate of Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences, Dr. Shannon Seckel believes in providing compassionate, high quality care to all patients and their families, while emphasizing that healthy living starts at home.  “As both a mother and physician, I continue to learn about the pediatric population on a daily basis! My years of training in pediatric medicine were rigorous at a level one stand-alone children’s hospital in NW Texas that served a large, rather rural, patient population. It was this training that ultimately gave me the strong foundation on which I practice medicine today. I’m a life-long learner and will continue to better myself and my medical knowledge so I can provide the best care possible for my patients.” When not in the clinic, Dr. Seckel enjoys equestrian sports (she is a former rodeo competitor), photography, DIY home projects, yoga, at-home fruit/vegetable/herb gardening, and spending quality time with family.

Anne Marie McCarthy, M.D.

Dr. McCarthy joined Sandpoint Pediatrics in 2020 after having practiced in New Mexico, Wyoming and Washington. Her special interests include child development and behavioral health issues, including ADHD.  Dr. McCarthy enjoys time with her family, travel - especially medical volunteer trips, and her sculling boat.

ELISHA FARNWORTH, D.O.
PEDIATRICIAN

Elisha Farnworth, D.O., a graduate of Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed her residency at SAUSHEC, San Antonio, Texas.  She has been a practicing pediatrician as a Major in the United States Air Force for the past 5 years, primarily stationed at Fairchild AFB, in Spokane, WA.  Dr. Farnworth grew up in Eastern Washington, and despite traveling and moving all over the country with the military, she still considers the Pacific Northwest to be the most beautiful part of the world – and home.
Dr. Farnworth is passionate about evidence-based medicine and the connection between families and herself.  “I enjoy the full spectrum of pediatric medicine, whether it’s ear checks, sports medicine, asthma, ADHD, upper respiratory infections or well visits.  I love watching families grow and develop, and feel privileged to be part of the experience.”  She believes that medicine is a team effort between the physician, parents and child. Her goal is to make the parent and patient feel heard, understood, and respected, and she hopes that each appointment is fun and engaging for the child.
When not in the clinic, Dr. Farnworth enjoys snow-shoeing, hiking, bicycling, road trips to new places, time with her daughter, and sharing quiet coffee moments with her husband.
